Job Description

Our ideal bartenders are detail oriented, self-motivated and committed to providing outstanding hospitableness for each and every guest. You responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring proper prep quantities at all times, effective communication with your teammates, ability to multitask, IDing guests appropriately, cash handling, and general bar duties. As a bartender, you ensure consistent drink quality by preparing hand-crafted cocktail orders in a timely and professional manner and in accordance with recipes and guidelines established by the Food and Beverage department. You will also maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area in a fast-paced environment, while providing superior guest service.  You are also responsible for handling all foods, storage, and cleaning activities in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards, complying with all federal, state and local regulatory procedures.

Requirements

 

  • Obtain any necessary alcohol service licensing requirements

  • Prior experience as a bartender preferred

  • Strong knowledge of alcohol mixology, drink menus and classic cocktail preparation

  • Ability to stand on feet for an extended period of time

  • Ability to effectively implement the three Cs: coordination, consolidation, and communication

  • Ability to abide by all state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests

  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent hospitality skills

  • Accurate math and cash handling skills

  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication with guests and coworkers

  • Possess organizational and time management skills

  • Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving, and decision making skills

  • Ability to do a great job while also having fun!

Babalu Tacos & Tapas, an Eat Here Brands concept, is a fun, hip restaurant serving up bold flavors using fresh ingredients from local suppliers. You will find a variety of authentic gourmet tacos and Latin-style tapas with a Southern twist. Every item on the menu, down to the individual taco shell, is made fresh daily. Our famous guacamole is prepared table-side. The bar carries the finest tequila, and all drinks are designed and crafted from scratch using the best and freshest ingredients, including our fresh-squeezed sweet and sour. Wine offerings include selections from a combination of domestic and foreign vineyards, with an emphasis on latin-based products.
